At Gothenburg Technical College, we work with health promotion and prevention from a salutogenic perspective with the student's needs in focus. This means that daily student health work should focus on health-promoting factors in each participant, and we have faith that all students have the ability to learn, develop, and achieve the educational goals. Our mission is to work so that all participants have good health both physically and mentally regardless of their basic prerequisites.
You will be part of a team together with a school counselor, school nurse, and assistant principal.
We work closely together and have strong collaboration with teachers and other staff at the school.
As a special education teacher at Gothenburg Technical College, you work at the individual, group, and organizational levels. You work strategically and preventively to help students and colleagues overcome learning barriers and take an active role in pedagogical meetings and class conferences based on identified health and risk factors. The role also includes identifying, investigating, addressing, and evaluating work with students' needs for pedagogical support, including pedagogical assessments and intervention programs.
We are proud of the pedagogical work conducted in our technical education programs. It creates development and conditions for our students to reach their full potential.
