We are now seeking a dedicated and responsible personal assistant for a man living with MS who needs support in his daily life. You will have meaningful, varied, and active work where you make a real difference in another person's life.
This is a part-time hourly position. Training/orientation will take place by agreement.
The client lives 5–6 km outside Värnamo.
About the role:
As a personal assistant, you will work closely with the client and provide important support in both daily activities and leisure pursuits. Your work enables the client to live an active life and continue with both work and hobbies. The client lives 5–6 km outside Värnamo. You should be able to work calmly, methodically, and in an organized manner.
You will accompany the client to his workplace during the day and support him with various tasks. You will treat the client's workplace with respect. A driver's license is required as you will drive the client's car.
We prefer that you live in Värnamo municipality.
Your tasks may include:
Stretching and physical training
Personal hygiene and care
Transfers using assistive devices
Handling and support
Meal and nutrition support
Accompanying to work and activities
The client regularly trains at a rehabilitation pool where a training program is carried out in the water. The water is deep, and therefore the assistant must be over 180 cm tall to work safely in the water.
The client is Christian and regularly attends church, so as an assistant you must be comfortable accompanying him to church services.
There is a cat in the home, so you cannot have pet allergies.
Working hours
Working hours are scheduled as follows:
Weekdays: 05:30 – 17:30, weekday evenings 17:15–22:00
Saturday: 07:30 – 18:30
Sunday: 07:30 – 14:00
Schedule is planned in consultation.
Who we are looking for:
As a personal assistant for this client, you need to be able to juggle many things while remaining organized, thorough, and adaptable in your role.
Communication is essential for effective collaboration between client and assistant. You are attentive and responsive, and you show respect for both the client's family life and professional life.
In this role, you function as the client's arms and legs, so it is important that you are comfortable with physical work. Personal care, physical training, and transfers are daily occurrences.
We therefore prefer that you have good physical fitness.
Requirements:
You must be over 180 cm tall (due to work in the pool)
A driver's license and access to a car are required to get to the workplace
