We are now seeking a dedicated smelter/caster who wants to be part of the heart of production at our client's facility near Värnamo. Here you'll play a central role in the process from scrap to finished steel – work that requires both precision, planning ability, and close collaboration with colleagues.
About the Role
As a smelter/caster, you'll work in a team with a colleague in the smeltery and be an important part of a cohesive team in the foundry. The work involves close collaboration with casters, management, and the quality department to ensure that the smelting plan is followed with the highest quality and minimal deviations.
Your Responsibilities
Manage the process from scrap to smelted steel
Ensure the condition of smelting furnaces and perform operator maintenance
Plan work in the smeltery and report on progress toward targets
Order scrap deliveries and manage alloying materials
Conduct sampling in the spectrometer
Dismantle and stamp furnaces as well as participate in inventories
Work according to established safety procedures
