We are seeking Transporters for transport of the deceased. Do you want to work in a socially important operation where professionalism, respect, and care are always at the center? Funeral Services AB is now hiring new employees for transporting the deceased as part of our operations. We are seeking hourly contract extra staff for work during daytime, evenings, weekends, and as needed. About the job - Transport and care of the deceased When a person passes away, the body must be transported in a dignified and secure manner. This may involve pickup from the location of death to the nearest mortuary or transport to the Forensic Medicine Institute for examination. As a transporter with us, you become part of the entire chain of care for the deceased. The work is always carried out in teams of two, where you alternate between driver and assistant. You work closely with authorities, the Forensic Medicine Institute, municipal care facilities, external care providers, and our own funeral homes. Working hours are variable and workload may fluctuate between high-intensity periods and quieter shifts. The work also includes responsibility for vehicle maintenance, material handling, and autonomous responsibility. Job responsibilities Transport and care of the deceased Coffin placement and assignments for our funeral homes Vehicle maintenance and handling of work and consumable materials Cooperation with authorities, care personnel, and relatives Qualifications Secondary education or equivalent Class B driver's license (required) and confident in operating larger vehicles Basic computer skills No criminal record and no entries in the criminal record registry (verification will be conducted in accordance with Police Authority requirements) Good physical condition and stable mental health as the work can be both physically demanding and psychologically challenging Meritorious qualifications Experience with transport of the deceased Experience in care, health services, transportation, or other service-oriented work Personal characteristics We place great emphasis on personal suitability and we are looking for someone who: Has personal maturity and good judgment Is thorough, responsible, and stress-resilient Has good collaboration skills and enjoys working in a team Is flexible and can adapt to both intensive and calm work shifts Has good communication skills in speech and writing Is empathetic and can treat people in difficult situations with respect and care Has an ethical approach and contributes to dignified treatment of the deceased Employment terms We apply individual salary setting in accordance with Transport guidelines.
