Ward B191 is a planned surgical care unit at Linköping University Hospital that provides care for patients before and after surgical procedures. What we offer As a nursing assistant, you will work in small care teams together with various professions. Around the team, we have several support functions so that you as an employee feel secure and can develop. You will have a mentor for four weeks and will follow the clinic's introduction program. Job description We are looking for someone who is driven, enjoys challenges, and continuously develops and acquires new knowledge. You are positive and contribute to team spirit. Your tasks consist of basic patient care as well as a range of tasks specific to surgical care such as wound dressing changes, stoma care, drain management, catheter placement, and specimen collection. Once you find your footing, there are also opportunities to develop through various areas of responsibility and roles such as coordinator and care coordinator. You work in a team/care unit together with a nurse. Together, you work in a patient-centered way to provide good quality care based on the patient's individual needs and resources. Work group We are a large unit and actively work toward good camaraderie. We have Friday coffee breaks, regular after-work gatherings, and a very engaged social committee that plans recurring wonderful Christmas and summer celebrations. We work with individual schedule planning using the scheduling tool Tessa. About you You are a trained nursing assistant. Experience from inpatient care, primary care, or home health care is an advantage, as is familiarity with the Cosmic medical records system. Our clinic is characterized by great variety in the work and pace, which requires you to have good planning, prioritization, and organizational skills. We are a team that cares for one another and where everyone contributes to a good work environment. In your daily work, you collaborate with various professions, which requires good teamwork skills. We also see that you communicate clearly and have good Swedish language skills in both speech and writing.
