Description:

We are looking for a positive and experienced optician assistant with an interest in technology, color and design! The position is a permanent part-time employment of approximately 75-80%. We are a privately owned and independent optician store in central Tranås, genuinely working to offer our customers the best possible vision aids and service. As a smaller optician store, we work close to our customers and take time for the entire process, from eye examination to finished glasses. In our own workshop, we shape-grind and mount lenses in frames ourselves, and often perform impossible repairs that require a feel for craftsmanship. If you have previously worked with a workshop in an optician store and can shape-grind and mount lenses in frames, we see that as a major plus! We would like you to have a couple of years of industry experience and be accustomed to varied retail work with high service orientation. We would like to see that you have completed an assistant training within optometry. With us you get varied work with everything from customer bookings, administrative record keeping, performing centering/measurement of lenses, workshop etc. An interest in fashion and trends is important where you have a good sense of color and form to be able to advise and inspire customers to satisfied purchases.
