The work involves networking and relationship-building in close collaboration with leisure activities, libraries, and schools.

In this role, you play an important part with us within the Citizen and Community Development Sector. Approximately 300 employees work here in areas related to quality of life, attractiveness, and employment. The Sector also has overall responsibility for supporting and following up on the municipality's public health work, children's and youth policy work, diversity and integration work, civil society organizations, and coordination of the municipality's international work.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The role of Area Development Specialist is both strategic and operational in order to strengthen people's living conditions and environments. An important part of the work is working with residents' participation, influence, and engagement, and initiating meetings between people from different backgrounds through cultural activities, popular education, and civil society organizations. You are part of local networks between actors in civil society, public services, and the private sector.
The position comprises two equivalent assignments. Approximately 50 percent of the work focuses on area development in Södra Ryd, where you work together with residents, associations, organizations, and other actors to strengthen the area's development and social sustainability. The remaining 50 percent of the position is focused on the development of Skövde's outlying areas: Igelstorp, Lerdala, Tidan, Timmersdala, Ulvåker, Väring, and Värsås. The assignment involves working with local development plans, strengthening dialogue with residents and local actors, and contributing to attractive, sustainable, and vibrant communities based on each area's unique conditions and needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
You must have a university degree and/or experience that the employer deems equivalent. Furthermore, we see that you have experience and knowledge of process management. It's an asset if you're multilingual, and to succeed in this role, you should have good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish.
Meritorious qualifications include knowledge of current research in the areas of public health, integration and community work, multilingualism, and experience in association development.
You are flexible and have good collaboration and pedagogical abilities, and understand the importance of anchoring, communication, and presentation. You are creative, independent, persistent, norm-critical, and work toward established goals.
Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
