If the work involves services for people over 18 years old, you must provide an extract from the criminal record register.
If the work involves services for children, you must submit an extract from the criminal record register, which we will keep on file for 2 years, in accordance with applicable legislation.
We're looking for a stable and responsible person with positive energy to work with a soon-to-be adult young man in Dalby.
You will work at approximately 75% of full-time hours. Shifts are between
07:00-17:00 or 15:00-22:00 on weekdays. On weekends 08:00-17:00.
Night shifts may also occur.
The young man lives with his family in Dalby. He has extensive multiple disabilities with recurring (daily) seizures and uses a wheelchair. He's a cheerful and wonderful young man to work with! His main interests are skiing, swimming, and music.
He attends swimming training once a week, so you must be comfortable getting in the pool with him.
We're looking for you if you have experience working as a personal assistant and are accustomed to significant care work and feel confident in it. You need to be empathetic and compassionate as well as have the ability to switch between making important decisions and being a good friend who comes up with fun activities!
Since his condition varies day to day, it's important that you as an assistant are adaptable. Being responsible and able to follow routines is essential for this position. Being smoke-free is a requirement.
You need to be flexible and able to step in with short notice when needed, for example during illness and similar situations. In this group we give and take for each other!
