Our operations
Healthcare Administrative Service (VAS) is a hospital-wide organization where medical secretaries, administrators and receptionists provide healthcare administrative support to all operations within the hospital. We are an important part of the care chain at one of Sweden's largest university hospitals with high expertise, specialist healthcare, options and enormous breadth. As a group leader with us, you join a team with other group leaders under the guidance of our healthcare administrative managers and in close collaboration with the operations.
We are looking for someone who enjoys leading others and wants to help develop our healthcare administrative mission for heart-lung diseases and infectious diseases!
VAS is in a changing phase with developed and strengthened tasks and task transfers, so it is meriting if you have experience in change work or change management.
You are an approachable leader who enjoys working close to your employees in the daily tasks. Together with your fellow group leaders and the management of the operations, you are responsible for ensuring that the operations function efficiently and maintain high quality. Because the operations have hospital-wide responsibility, you need to have a good ability to prioritize based on the hospital's, the operations' and the patient's needs.
You have personnel and operational responsibility, which among other things means conducting employee and salary conversations, recruiting new employees and handling rehabilitation cases and work environment issues. You are responsible for ensuring that employees have the right competence and are well acquainted with relevant legislation, procedures and working methods. You have an economically conscious approach and collaborate with the healthcare administrative manager to create sustainable and resource-efficient working methods. If needed, you participate in projects and working groups together with managers and employees within healthcare administrative service, the operations and the hospital's management and support function.
Your competence
We are looking for someone who is a clear and confident leader who can set direction, make decisions and get people to work towards common goals – even when conditions change or the way forward is not clear.
It is meriting if you have experience in leading others, for example as a manager, group leader, foreman, project leader or in a role where you have had responsibility for cooperation, results and progress.
In the role, you need to be able to see the whole picture and at the same time be close to the operations. You can weigh different needs against each other, prioritize in the moment and make decisions that move the operations forward. You communicate clearly and create understanding and engagement among employees.
We are looking for someone who has the ability to lead in change and create security in an operation with high pace. You work structurally, can plan and reprioritize based on the operations' needs and keep focus on goals and results. You build trusting relationships, cooperate well with different people and functions and enjoy an operational everyday where you lead by being close to the operations.
We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
