We are now seeking a Senior Accounting Assistant for our client in Södermanlands County. In this role, you will have independent responsibility for ongoing accounting and become an important part of the finance department. You will work closely with the Finance Manager and serve as qualified support to both the operations and other colleagues in finance.
About the position:
As a Senior Accounting Assistant, you are responsible for ensuring a correct and efficient accounting process. You work both operationally and with a development mindset, contributing to improved procedures and creating efficient financial processes.
Your responsibilities:
-Manage customer and supplier accounts receivable/payable.
-Perform reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
-Handle VAT accounting and basic tax matters.
-Work with accruals and monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
-Prepare payment proposals and conduct bank reconciliations.
-Participate in audits and prepare requested documentation.
-Identify and drive improvements to financial processes and internal procedures.
-Collaborate with operations and external parties on financial matters.
Your profile
High school diploma with an economics focus or post-secondary education in economics or accounting.
-Minimum 3–8 years of experience with qualified accounting work.
-Documented experience with independent closing work.
-Strong knowledge of VAT accounting, account reconciliations, and tax handling.
-Experience with modern ERP and accounting systems.
-Excellent proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

-Actively contribute to the organization's financial quality and continued development.
