ABOUT OUR COMPANIES AND YOUR WORK AREAS Nordic Glazing: Industry leaders in custom, high-quality balcony glazing solutions for Nordic climates. Your focus will primarily be on glazing structures and building permit drawings, especially for more complex projects. Nordic Outdoor Rooms & Construction: Specialists in extensions and winterized outdoor rooms in the residential segment, which often resembles traditional home construction more than simple sunrooms. This includes everything from site work and transitional solutions to pools and prefabricated buildings. Projects involving accessory dwellings are also common. Here, illustrations and visualizations, such as 3D renderings, are an important part of customer communication. Door Fast: Manufactures and delivers doors, windows, facades, and glass roofs for large and complex projects (such as City Train and Stockholm Fair). This involves metal component manufacturing where structures must be determined, drawn in software, and calculated with high precision. ABOUT THE ROLE This position is located at our headquarters and manufacturing facilities in Eskilstuna, and this is where you'll base your daily work. As a structural engineer with us, your primary focus will be on technical solutions, 3D visualizations, design, calculations, and technical support to the rest of the organization. You'll be involved in a range of different projects. While your primary responsibility is the technical engineering and structural design, a basic understanding of architecture is needed, as this helps with the overall perspective in our diverse projects and is invaluable when creating illustrations and visualizations. For our customers, especially regarding outdoor rooms and extensions, clear illustrations and visualizations are an important part that helps them see their future project before construction starts. AI is an essential and now indispensable tool here, and we'd like you to be curious about and comfortable using AI-based tools to quickly produce high-quality visualizations. Customer contact is a natural and frequent part of the role. You therefore need to be comfortable both communicating with customers by phone and conducting site visits to take measurements, verify conditions, and discuss technical solutions. In your role, you'll work with, among other things: · Structural calculations: Ensuring durability and safety in all types of construction projects. · New construction and extensions: Design and structural work on extensions to homes and properties, including advanced outdoor rooms and living spaces. · Renovations and transitions: Adaptation and reinforcement of existing structures. · Site work and property development: Planning and design related to site work and ground calculations. · Accessory dwellings and pools: Specialized solutions for small buildings, as well as design and planning related to pool installations. · Metal components and facades: Determining, drawing, and calculating structures for doors, windows, and glass roofs. · Illustrations and visualizations: Creating clear illustrations and visualizations (such as 3D renderings) that help customers see their future outdoor room or extension before construction begins. AI is an essential tool in this work. · Customer contact and site visits: Maintain ongoing contact with customers by phone and conduct site visits for measurements, verification, and technical advice. YOUR PROFILE We're looking for someone with solid experience in construction and contracting. You're confident in your role as a structural engineer and have the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel. We'd like you to have: · Documented experience as a structural engineer. · Strong expertise in structural calculations. · Experience with site work, new construction, extensions, and renovations. · Experience with projects involving accessory dwellings and property site work. · Basic knowledge of architecture and building permit drawings. · Experience creating illustrations and visualizations, such as 3D renderings, for customer communication. · Interest in and preferably experience with AI-based visualization tools, as AI is an essential tool in our work (desirable). · Comfort with customer contact, both by phone and during site visits. · Good knowledge of the construction process and contracting. · Strong general technical engineering knowledge.
