Kommunalförbundet Hälsingland (KFH) is a municipal association within Bollnäs, Ovanåker, and Söderhamn municipalities that is responsible for Fire and Rescue Services in southern Hälsingland on behalf of the member municipalities. Fire and Rescue Services in southern Hälsingland is now seeking staff to strengthen our fire prevention activities. Your work tasks will be varied and encompass the full scope of fire prevention work performed by a fire and rescue service. You will work with inspections according to the Act on Protection against Accidents and the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods, and handle referrals to other authorities and stakeholders. The work also includes providing information and advice to the public and conducting fire safety training. Based on your qualifications and background, adjustments to your work tasks can be made. Since January 2023, fire and rescue services in Hälsingland have had joint management of fire prevention tasks. As part of the joint fire prevention group, you will have considerable freedom with significant personal responsibility. There will be opportunities for skills development in the fire prevention field, and you will also have the opportunity to lead various projects—both prevention-focused and connected to operational activities—as well as participate in developing procedures and guidelines within the fire prevention collaboration. Qualifications · Upper secondary education with relevant further education at university, college, or vocational higher education level. This could be, for example, the Swedish Building Inspection Certificate (SMO), building inspector, or building engineer, or similar. The employer may also assess that other education or experience relevant to fire prevention work could be applicable. · You must have excellent command of Swedish, both spoken and written · Valid driver's license (Category B) As a person, you are confident, stable, and communicative. You have the ability to plan, structure, and take personal responsibility for driving your processes forward. At the same time, you work well in collaboration with others and can convey your fire safety knowledge in a pedagogical manner. Great importance will be placed on personal qualities such as the ability to take your own initiative and work independently while also being able to collaborate easily with others. Since the work involves many external contacts, you need to be able to express yourself well in speech and writing. We also value pedagogical ability, as fire prevention activities also include external training. Meritorious We consider it highly meritorious if you have any of the following: Fire Engineering degree, Inspection A and B certification (or equivalent), or experience working with fire prevention and public authority duties. Other experience related to exercising public authority can also be meritorious. This could include, for example, public authority duties and inspections under the Planning and Building Act or the Environmental Code.
