Become a relief worker! What we offer you! We are seeking relief workers and companions for children and young people on an hourly basis living in Hässleholm Municipality. Being a relief worker means you support and help the child so that parents can, for example, attend a meeting, do shopping, or do an activity with another sibling. You provide support with what the child needs right then and there. Your work tasks may include playing, playing games, basic hygiene, care and support, and other aspects of everyday life. The service takes place in the home or in the nearby area, where you may, for example, go to a nearby playground or to an activity. As a companion, you accompany the child or young person to an activity and back home again; sometimes you also participate during the activity. Relief and companionship is an assistance service under the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities (LSS). The relief worker position can vary in size depending on the number of hours the child has been granted. There is no scheduled work time; the hours are usually distributed in the evenings and on weekends. You and the family agree on when the hours should be worked. Hourly wages apply. Who are you? You have good social skills, can take initiative for different activities, and at the same time are attentive to the child's/young person's needs and wishes. Since we match assignments based on, among other things, shared interests, we would like you to write in your personal letter what you enjoy doing in your free time. We try to match relief workers/companions with children/young people whom we believe will get along well and work well together. Experience or education is usually not required, but if you have this it can be an advantage. Please tell us in your letter why you are interested in becoming a relief worker or companion. Other Information Before employment, you must show a passport/national ID. If you are a citizen of a country outside the EU/EES, you also need to show your work permit. This is so we can verify your identity and your right to work in Sweden. Before employment at the care administration, we want you to present a valid police certificate.
