The Division for Disabilities and Permanent Work Incapacity administers a large number of social insurance benefits, including assistance allowances, sickness and activity allowances, and compensation from occupational injury insurance. The Legal Support business area is responsible for reconsideration, litigation, and case-handling-related legal support. This business area is a driving force in legal quality work at the division. Our legal support operations are conducted at two units, which will now be strengthened with additional colleagues. We are located in several places around the country, and today approximately 20 experienced and engaged lawyers work with us. Legal Support, Development, and Collaboration Work as a department lawyer within an insurance division entails special responsibility for correct and uniform application of social insurance and other applicable legislation. Based on legal guidance, you are responsible for monitoring legal developments within the insurance area where you work. By providing close legal support on administrative law matters to the insurance area's staff and development activities, you contribute to good legal quality. You support managers and staff on legal matters and share your knowledge. You contribute to good collaboration both within the division and with other divisions, including the agency's legal department. As a lawyer, you handle confidential information, which requires careful handling. It is therefore important that you have high security awareness. This is a job for someone who wants to take responsibility and make a difference. We are looking for you who have a law degree (Juris Kandidat or equivalent) are notarially qualified or have other equivalent work experience act on your own initiative and take responsibility for quality results have a systematic and thorough work approach can understand and analyze complex issues communicate clearly, distinctly, and in a structured manner both verbally and in writing collaborate effectively to achieve common goals. It is advantageous if you have good knowledge of administrative law and social insurance law have good knowledge of public information and confidentiality, other administrative law including data protection matters have experience leading projects and good pedagogical skills have knowledge of business development. We place great value on your personal qualities. Other Information We are seeking several lawyers, full-time, with start dates by agreement. Trial employment may be possible. Some positions with us involve participation in security-sensitive activities. To be employed in such a position, you must pass security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
