The Department for Disability and Permanently Reduced Work Capacity administers a large number of social insurance benefits, including assistance compensation, sickness and activity benefits, and work injury insurance compensation. The Legal Support operations area is responsible for reconsideration, litigation, and case-handling-related legal support. This operations area is a driving force in the department's legal quality work. Our legal support operations are conducted across two units, which will now be strengthened with additional colleagues. We are located in several places around the country, and today approximately 20 experienced and committed lawyers work with us. Legal Support, Development, and Collaboration Work as a department attorney within an insurance department involves particular responsibility for correct and uniform application of social insurance and other applicable legislation. Based on legal governance, you are responsible for monitoring legal developments within the insurance area where you work. By providing close legal support on administrative law matters to the insurance area's staff and to development activities, you contribute to high legal quality. You support managers and staff on legal matters and share your knowledge. You contribute to good collaboration both within the department and with other departments, including the agency's legal department. As a lawyer, you handle confidential information, which requires high standards for proper handling. Therefore, it is important that you have strong security awareness. We are looking for you who have a law degree (jur.kand.) or equivalent legal qualification are a notary or have other equivalent professional experience act on your own initiative and take responsibility for results of high quality have a systematic and thorough work approach can understand and analyze complex matters communicate clearly, distinctly, and in a structured manner both verbally and in writing collaborate effectively to achieve common goals. It is advantageous if you have good knowledge of administrative law and social insurance law have good knowledge of public access and confidentiality, other administrative law including data protection matters have experience leading projects and good pedagogical skills have knowledge within operations development. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. Other Information We are seeking multiple lawyers, full-time, with start dates by agreement. Probationary employment may be relevant. Some positions with us involve participation in security-sensitive activities. To be employed in such a position, you must pass a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
