We look forward to your application! Job Responsibilities As a personal care assistant, you will support the individual in their home, based on the client's needs and wishes. Your responsibilities will include practical tasks, personal care, medical assistance, recreational activities, and facilitating social contacts. You will be the support the client needs to participate in activities to the fullest extent possible and help ensure they have a good quality of life. Qualifications We prefer candidates with a completed education from a healthcare program, child and leisure program, or a 1-year personal care assistant training course. Applicants with other education or relevant work experience that the employer deems equivalent may also be considered. You must have strong Swedish language skills, both written and oral. The work should be characterized by a pedagogical approach to support the client in maintaining their skills to the greatest extent possible. It is important that you feel confident in your professional role and can act professionally. We also value your social skills, attentiveness, and initiative in activities with the client. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. Work as a personal care assistant requires good physical condition including strength, stamina, and mobility. Since the role involves documentation, it is desirable that you have good computer skills. We prefer candidates with a driver's license (category B) and access to a vehicle. More About the Positions Permanent employment with approximately 90% employment levels. 14 positions involve day, evening, and weekend shifts, while 6 involve overnight shifts (weekdays and weekends). Double staffing around the clock. A probationary period may apply. About the Assignment The client is a woman in her 60s living just outside Piteå. She has extensive care needs and requires support and supervision 24/7. Your work will involve providing personal care and contributing to her sense of security, continuity, and good quality of life in her daily routine. To thrive in this role, it is important that you feel comfortable working with personal care and have a professional approach. We seek someone who is responsible, calm, and confident in their professional role, and who can act with empathy and reassurance even in challenging situations. Full-time employment may be offered. You would primarily work on this case but may be assigned to other cases/operations as needed. This requires you to be able to travel to your temporary work location using your own vehicle. Travel allowance is provided according to agreement for work-related travel.
