We're now hiring more preschool teachers! To Preschool Unit 5, we're seeking engaged and collaborative preschool teachers with experience leading and developing pedagogical processes. Welcome to Us In Skärholmen's municipal preschools, we always put the child at the center. We give each child the tools they need to develop and live in a constantly changing world. Our prioritized goals are language, democracy, and health, where play forms the platform that permeates our education and teaching. Our preschools are located in a multicultural area with apartment buildings, townhouses, and single-family homes, and the majority of our children are multilingual. Communication options are good, and the preschools are surrounded by beautiful natural environments such as Lake Mälaren, forest areas, parks, sports fields, and playgrounds. The preschools are led by a principal and a unit manager and have access to quality and education leaders as well as a special educator. In Skärholmen, we have 18 preschools and 3 open preschools. Please read more about our benefits within Stockholm City. Your Role In your role as a preschool teacher with us, you work to create a safe, enjoyable, and educational preschool. You adapt teaching and education to promote each child's development and learning based on their conditions, experiences, and needs. You create curiosity and a desire to learn, both during planned activities and spontaneous moments. You play an important role in creating a good pedagogical environment and have knowledge and ideas about how you, together with your colleagues, will realize the curriculum's goals and values. As a preschool teacher, you lead and coordinate the pedagogical work in close collaboration with your team and you have good opportunities to influence and develop the operation. The role includes planning, implementing, documenting, following up, and evaluating the preschool's education and teaching. You work systematically with observation, reflection, and analysis as a natural part of daily work. You're expected to collaborate with services such as autism centers, rehabilitation services, and other external partners in close cooperation with guardians. Your Competence and Experience We're looking for someone with strong commitment, curiosity, and a desire to make a difference for the children you meet every day. To be considered for the position, we require: Preschool teacher certification Good knowledge of child development and learning Good knowledge of the preschool's governing documents and ability to implement its intentions in practice Knowledge of and experience with systematic quality work for both individual departments and the preschool as a whole Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as basic IT skills You're well aware that preschool education and teaching should be based on scientific grounds and proven experience, and you practice accordingly. Your Personal Abilities and Skills You're a preschool teacher who constantly wants to develop and learn new things together with the children. You adapt teaching to children's individual conditions and meet each child with respect, responsiveness, and humility. Through an inclusive work approach, you ensure that all children feel included in teaching and education. You enjoy working on meaningful processes and have experience with pedagogical documentation and a project-based approach. As a leader, you're proactive, responsible, and organized. You have a holistic view of your role, are clear, and can organize work together with your team. You're confident in your professional role and maintain calm even in stressful situations. Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills and a professional approach and actively contribute to creating good relationships with colleagues, guardians, and external partners.
