Our Offer
Ward B173 is a specialized unit where we primarily care for patients with kidney diseases and rheumatological diseases. After the turn of the year, we will also care for patients with endocrine diseases such as diabetes and other hormone-related conditions. In addition, we have a high influx from the emergency department of patients with other medical problems.

To provide security and support for you as a new nurse, an experienced mentor nurse is available on weekdays. The mentor nurse can assist the care team when needed by helping with complicated patient cases, answering questions that may arise from various areas, and providing support during rounds for those new to the department. We are also a department that has come far in digital development and work with iPads (NOVA tablet) where we create digital checklists for what needs to be done during the day. The iPad also provides access to Cosmic for easier documentation, reading patient records, and administering medications.
DOA - our day care activity is a unit where patients come for various infusions and outpatient procedures. This activity is located right next to the ward and contributes, among other things, to reduced admissions. If you are interested, there may be an opportunity to rotate to day care to add variation to your workday. We also explore and encourage opportunities to rotate to our dialysis clinic at the University Hospital!
Since we are a 24/7 operation, the position with us includes day, evening, and night shifts. If you are interested in working primarily only night shifts, there is an opportunity for that.
Job Description
As a nurse on our care ward, you will have a central role in the care of patients and their various needs. Your tasks include:
Assessment, planning, and implementation of patient care.
Monitoring and treatment of patients with kidney failure, endocrine and rheumatic diseases, and other internal medical conditions.
Providing support to patients and their loved ones.
Documentation of care and treatment according to applicable guidelines.
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure good and coordinated care for our patients.
Participating in the development and improvement of work processes on the ward.
Work Team
The ward currently has 12 care beds divided between two care teams. We are in a positive spiral and now, in connection with the merger with endocrinology, have the opportunity to expand with an additional care team to meet our patients' needs!
We have a multidisciplinary approach where we focus on the patient's entire life situation and strive to provide the best possible care in each situation. Here you work together with nursing assistants, doctors, dietitians, social workers, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists to provide the best possible care! About You
We are looking for you who:
Are a licensed nurse.
Have experience working in nephrology, rheumatology, or endocrinology. Even if you are newly trained and interested in the field, you are welcome to apply.
Have a genuine interest in working with patients with chronic diseases and complex needs.
Have a positive attitude and desire to develop both professionally and personally.
It is meritorious if you have work experience from inpatient care.
We are looking for someone with good collaborative skills, who is secure, stable, and has self-awareness. You work in a structured manner and easily adapt to changing circumstances.
