Description:

Are you ready to work in a vital community service? District Veterinarians exist so that all animals in Sweden have the opportunity to live the best life possible. With 24/7 readiness, clinics throughout the country, and broad veterinary medical expertise, we contribute to good animal health, strong disease control, and a safer society. District Veterinarians is part of the Swedish Board of Agriculture. There are many workplaces where you can work as a veterinarian. What makes the difference is the people you work with. At our clinic in Vårgårda, you'll become part of a cohesive team of six veterinarians, one certified veterinary technician, and two animal care assistants. With us, there's an open atmosphere, plenty of laughter, and it goes without saying that we help each other when the day doesn't go as planned. Our clinic is located at beautiful Vårgårda Manor, with convenient commuting distance from Gothenburg, Borås, and Alingsås. We work with both small animals, horses, and farm animals, and our operations are characterized by high medical quality, warm service, and a commitment to continuous development. We believe in an unpretentious working style where it's as natural to ask for help as to offer it. At District Veterinarians, you'll receive an introduction tailored to your experience, good development opportunities, and access to a large professional network. It's important to us to create a workplace where people thrive, develop, and feel proud of the work we do together. 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES With us, you'll have varied work where no two weeks are alike. One day you might operate on a dog, the next day you perform gastroscopy on a horse or travel out to the field to help a horse owner. The variety is something many of us appreciate and what makes the work both stimulating and developmental. You'll work with small animals, horses, and to some extent farm animals, both at the clinic and in the field. Job duties include everything from preventive health care and medical investigations to acute veterinary care, diagnostics, and treatment. The position offers great opportunities for a broad veterinary role while allowing space to develop special areas of interest. At our small animal clinic, we have excellent facilities for advanced diagnostics and treatment, including: • Digital radiography • Ultrasound • Dental department with dental radiography • Modern laboratory • Well-equipped operating room Our equine operations are conducted both at the clinic and in the field, with field work comprising the majority. Here we work with, among other things: • Advanced dental care • Digital radiography (DR) • Endoscopy and gastroscopy • Medical investigations We see great opportunities to tailor the position to your interests and experience. If you want to specialize in an area, we'll support you. If you prefer the broad veterinary role, that's equally valuable. The position also includes on-call duties. QUALIFICATIONS We're looking for someone who is a licensed veterinarian or is about to complete your veterinary education. For us, it's more important that you're curious, engaged, and enjoy working with others than exactly how many years you've worked. If you have experience with both small animals and horses, that's a merit, but we place great emphasis on your personal qualities. You enjoy varied work, appreciate collaboration and knowledge sharing, and want to contribute to a positive work environment. You have a genuine interest in veterinary medicine, a professional approach, and a desire to continue developing throughout your career. At District Veterinarians, you'll receive an introduction tailored to your experience, an individual development plan, and access to a large professional network with competence groups, training, and mentoring opportunities throughout the organization. A driver's license is required, and you must be able to participate in the clinic's on-call operations. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment type: Permanent position. Duration: Permanent, start date: By agreement. Working hours: Shift schedule. We care about our employees.
