Daugavpils State City Municipality Institution Rotko Museum invites applications for a museum specialist (historian) position Applications are open until August 28, 2026, for a permanent position of Senior Museum Specialist (Historian) in the structural unit "Daugavpils Museum" at Rotko Museum. Main job responsibilities: Research the museum's collections and local history; Develop and implement concepts for history exhibitions and displays; Participate in building the museum's collection and creating object descriptions; Prepare scientific publications; Initiate and implement new forms of research and educational work; Collaborate with museum specialists on interdisciplinary projects. Requirements for candidates: Academic or professional higher education (second level) in humanities; Knowledge of and interest in historical and cultural processes, as well as museum operations; Excellent command of the state language and preferably at least one foreign language; Excellent computer skills and digital competence; High sense of responsibility, precision, and quality in work execution; Loyalty and positive attitude toward work, ability to work equally well in a team and independently; Experience working with museum collections will be considered an advantage.
