Bergkvist Siljan Skog is now seeking a CEO for its forestry company – a key role responsible for securing and developing the raw material flow to the group's sawmills. About the assignment As CEO of Bergkvist Siljan Skog, you have overall responsibility for the company's operations, with focus on raw material procurement, business development and leadership. You lead an organization of approximately 40 employees, where the majority work as timber buyers in a geographically dispersed operation. The assignment involves ensuring a stable, efficient and profitable flow of raw materials to the group's sawmills. The role is clearly business-driven and includes negotiations with both large forest companies and private forest owners. You are responsible for developing the business, strengthening market relationships and driving operations in line with the group's strategic direction. Your profile We are looking for a business-driven leader with the ability to combine strategic perspective with operational execution. We would prefer if you have higher education in forestry, economics, logistics, forestry engineer or similar. You have solid experience in business, raw material flows, timber supply, logistics or similar value chains. Good knowledge of contract law and labor law is desirable. Experience of leadership in a larger or geographically dispersed organization and proven leadership ability in good times and bad with a genuine interest in employee development. You possess strategic thinking, are business-minded with excellent negotiation skills. You are used to driving change and development, are communicative and have a relationship-building approach to work. Good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing. If you have knowledge of FSC and PEFC that is beneficial. As a person you are a clear and trustworthy leader who creates engagement and direction. You thrive in a role where you can take responsibility, make decisions and drive matters forward – even when it requires perseverance and courage. You have integrity, are confident in negotiations and have the ability to handle complex and sometimes challenging situations. Employment The position as CEO is open-ended on a full-time basis with place of work in Insjön or Mora. Some travel in Dalarna and Hälsingland is part of the position. You report to the CEO of Bergkvist Siljan and functionally to the group's Raw Material Director. Start date as soon as possible by agreement.
