Here you will lead operations for approximately 180 buses, where the oldest bus is only a few years old and where a large part of the vehicle fleet consists of modern electric bus technology. You will have the opportunity to lead and develop an operation where new technology, sustainability, and high availability are in focus. You are responsible for the workshops at Hammerdal and Älgvägen and lead the operation through two workshop managers as well as a team of mechanics and administrative staff. Here you will have the opportunity to influence both the operation's results and employee development while having significant authority to shape working methods, routines, and processes. The role is not about standing with tools in hand yourself, but about leading through others. You ensure that the workshops operate in a structured, efficient, and sustainable manner to create high operational reliability and availability of the vehicle fleet. You become an important link between workshop, operations, and management where your work contributes directly to public transport functioning every day. The role combines operational presence with strategic responsibility and includes personnel, budget, and work environment responsibility as well as responsibility for quality, safety, and compliance with laws, regulations, and internal processes. Tasks Lead, develop, and monitor workshop operations in Kronoberg Take responsibility for personnel, work environment, budget, and delivery of operationally reliable vehicles Ensure planning in the short, medium, and long term for the workshop's work Ensure that service, maintenance, and repairs are carried out according to plan and applicable regulations Work with monitoring of costs, quality, and key metrics Ensure compliance with work environment regulations, safety routines, and quality processes Collaborate with traffic management, operations managers, business area manager, HR, and technical organization Drive improvement and development work and contribute to more integrated collaboration between workshop and operations Your Profile To succeed in the role, you are a confident and clear leader who enjoys creating structure, building engagement, and developing both people and operations. You have a natural holistic perspective, are solution-oriented, and have the ability to balance operational challenges with a long-term focus. As a person, you are communicative and trustworthy with an unpretentious approach to collaboration. You are attentive, willing to make decisions, and stand behind decisions when needed. At the same time, you are driven, positive, and have the ability to create understanding for goals, priorities, and financial relationships in the operation. To succeed in the role, we see that you have: Technical education in vehicle engineering or equivalent Several years of experience in a management role within a workshop Experience with personnel responsibility Good financial understanding Good system knowledge and excellent Excel skills Experience from bus operations or other heavy traffic activities is a merit, as is experience with electric buses and high-voltage systems.
