We are seeking an engaged and business-driven workshop manager for Långsele. About the Job This is a key role where you lead and develop the workshop with a focus on quality, efficiency, and long-term growth. You report directly to the Technology Business Area Manager, are part of the business area's management team, and play a central role in ensuring that operations deliver according to both customer requirements and our own high standards. The position is based in Långsele, and work takes place primarily during daytime hours. Travel is a natural part of the role. About the Role As workshop manager, you have overall operational and financial responsibility for the workshop in Långsele. This includes economics, personnel, resource planning, quality, work environment, safety, and customer relations. You lead the business through production management and other key functions, and ensure that assignments are planned, prioritized, and executed according to agreed timelines, costs, and quality standards. The role involves creating clarity in responsibilities, priorities, and working methods, as well as ensuring that the operation has the right organization, staffing, and competence for both today's deliveries and future needs. An important part of the assignment is to continue building and developing the business in Långsele together with the business area manager. You will create the conditions for continued growth through structure, monitoring, improvement work, and active leadership. You work closely with other functions within the business area, such as project management, procurement, inventory, and aftermarket. You are expected to contribute to a cohesive Technology Business Area, where different functions and operations work according to common goals, priorities, and working methods. The role also involves close collaboration with Railcare's other workshops and business areas. You actively contribute to the group by sharing expertise and resources, developing common working methods, and acting in the best interest of Railcare. The role combines operational presence with strategic work. You therefore need to thrive both in the business and in work with economics, organization, customers, and long-term development. About the Långsele Operation The Långsele operation consists of approximately 30 employees and generates revenue of around 70 million kronor per year. In the workshop, we perform routine and preventive maintenance, repairs, major overhauls, renovations, and modernizations of locomotives and railway vehicles. We also work with installation and development of, among other things, radio control and train protection systems. The operation is certified according to ISO 9001 and ECM, which means that quality, safety, documentation, and continuous improvement are a natural part of our daily work.
