About the Position
We are now looking for an in-house counsel who, together with other real estate and environmental law attorneys, will work closely with expansion projects in an advisory capacity. The work includes, among other things, handling concessions, permits, and line easement reviews, representing Svenska kraftnät in court and administrative proceedings, and conducting legal investigations. The role also involves providing advice on strategic environmental and real estate law issues with the opportunity to specialize in easement law and other land access matters. The work may also cover other areas of law, such as administrative law.
This is a permanent position based at our head office in Sundbyberg or at our offices in Gothenburg, Västerås, Sundsvall, or Luleå.
Nine in-house counsel currently work to support the operations in real estate and environmental law through legal advice on projects to expand and strengthen the transmission network both on land and at sea. The role includes, among other things:
Working with concession and permit reviews and, if necessary, representing Svenska kraftnät in court and before authorities.
Conducting legal investigations and providing advice on strategic environmental and real estate law issues.
Supporting operations in responding to consultations from the Government Offices, authorities, and other stakeholders.
Continually developing working methods and processes to meet growing expansion activities and society's requirements.
Svenska kraftnät has four units with in-house counsel located in the Legal Department. Together with the General Counsel, these units ensure that Svenska kraftnät's operations comply with relevant legislation and provide proactive guidance to the operations regarding its legal framework. In total, we have approximately 40 in-house counsel who independently conduct work within a wide range of legal areas. This position is located in the real estate and environmental law unit.

Education:
You must have a Swedish law degree or jur.kand. degree.
You also have:
At least seven years of experience in legal work from a court, municipality, or other authority, law firm, organization, or company.
At least five years of experience in qualified real estate and environmental law work.
Very good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
Merits
Experience with special property law, general property law, and contract law related to various forms of land leases.
Experience working with or in the electricity industry.
Experience in public sector operations or administrative law.
Experience working in an advisory or support function in a larger project organization or operation.

The position is based in Sundbyberg, Gothenburg, Västerås, Sundsvall, or Luleå.
Travel may occur to a limited extent.
Opportunity for remote work up to 50%, when work permits.
