Business Development Manager for Agape Gästhus

Synge and Agape Gästhus Synge is a small consulting firm in Linköping with primary operations in international sourcing and business development. The business combines business development with long-term community engagement, where profits from commercial operations are reinvested in new projects and initiatives. The next venture is Agape Gästhus, a vision of a new type of meeting place in central Linköping that combines coworking, afterwork events, and event venues. The goal is to create an environment where people naturally meet, collaborate, build relationships, and develop new ideas. The Role This is not a traditional position. It is an opportunity to build a new business from the ground up and, over time, take a central role in its development. The work begins with responsibility for Synge's existing guesthouse. The role includes bookings, guest relations, marketing, administration, and ongoing business development. In parallel, the assignment involves developing Agape Gästhus by exploring market interest in the concept, developing a business model and business plan, building relationships with local stakeholders, and attracting future guests, members, and partners. Over time, the ambition is for the role to develop into an overall responsibility for Agape Gästhus with oversight of operations, finances, activities, and future staff. About You · The vision behind Agape Gästhus appeals to you, and you are attracted by the opportunity to build something long-term and meaningful. · You have good knowledge of Linköping and its local networks. You are social, relationship-oriented, and enjoy making people feel welcome. You are comfortable combining practical work with long-term business development. · A degree of at least three years is required. The field of study is less important than your ability to think independently, reason, communicate, and develop ideas. · Experience from the hotel or hospitality industry is not decisive. What matters most is a genuine interest in people, entrepreneurship, and a desire to help develop Agape Gästhus over time. · Experience in marketing, sales, business development, or hospitality is a merit but not required. · The role is likely best suited for someone seeking more than a regular job and attracted by the opportunity to create something lasting together with others. · Experience is less important than commitment, initiative, and a willingness to grow with the business. · Synge strives for gender balance and would therefore welcome applications from women.
