The Operations Development Manager Role
As an Operations Development Manager at the Surgical Clinic, you drive development work that strengthens quality, patient safety, and efficient care processes. The role involves close collaboration with the clinic's various professions to identify improvement areas, lead process work, and contribute to sustainable and modern surgical care.
The role includes responsibility for:
• initiating, driving, implementing, and coordinating the clinic's operational and strategic quality work in accordance with the business plan
• monitoring patient safety work and supporting risk and incident analyses
• actively integrating the clinic's work on capacity and production management into all development and improvement efforts
• continuously monitoring, analyzing, and evaluating the targets, metrics, and activities established in Stratsys, and taking responsibility for reporting, communicating, and analyzing these in the management group and staff forums
• investigating and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data in close dialogue with the clinic
• taking responsibility for developing strategic procedures and policies according to identified needs in the clinic and in compliance with national and regional laws, regulations, and guidelines
• taking responsibility for work related to digitalization and its implementation in the clinic
The role reports to the Operations Manager and works closely with clinic management, unit managers, and medical leaders, and participates in the management group. You have a clear mandate to initiate and lead improvement work across the entire clinic on behalf of the management group. You represent the clinic and participate in cross-regional process work. As an Operations Development Manager, you are also responsible for environmental scanning and development initiatives, and you drive development issues that may be prioritized for the Surgical Clinic. A prioritized area is strengthening the Surgical Clinic's process work across our three hospitals.
You will be part of a network of Operations Development Managers led by the Development Manager for surgical care as a whole.

The Surgical Clinic is a cross-regional clinic with operations at Höglandssjukhuset in Eksjö, Länssjukhuset Ryhov in Jönköping, and Värnamo Hospital. Organizationally, the Surgical Clinic belongs to the Surgical Care operational area within Region Jönköpings län.

Your Profile
We are looking for someone with previous experience in operations development who wants stimulating and developmental work tasks. You need to have prior education and experience in operations development, improvement work, and process management. Knowledge in statistics and the ability to analyze data are prerequisites for the position.
The position is permanent full-time within your core profession with an assignment as Operations Development Manager.
As a person, you need to be structured, have good collaboration skills, and have the drive to lead operations development at a large clinic.
A driver's license is required for the position.
