About the Position As the Operations Area Manager for Digitalization and IT, you hold a strategic and long-term responsibility for IVO's work in developing secure and efficient data supply and data-driven work methods. Digital solutions and secure, efficient, and sustainable IT development and operations are developed based on the agency's needs. You are also responsible for coordinating and developing the agency's use of AI as part of strengthening its information and data capabilities. You are responsible for both operational work and development of IVO's collective capacity in this area. The Operations Area is divided into a Digitalization Unit and an IT Unit. You ensure that the agency's digitalization and IT work is carried out according to high security standards, is legally compliant and efficient, and creates conditions for operational development, improved work methods, and workforce development. You represent the operations area, monitor external developments, and collaborate with other agencies and external stakeholders. The role involves close collaboration with the Department Manager, subordinate Unit Managers, and other Operations Area Managers within the department, as well as with other managers and employees at IVO. You report directly to the Department Manager and participate in the department's management group, where you actively contribute to strategic governance of the department. You have responsibility for operations, budget, and personnel within your Operations Area and ensure the work environment is maintained in accordance with laws and regulations for systematic workplace safety efforts. Leadership Role You are a clear leader and employer representative with a solid understanding of the employer role in relation to both employees and your superior. You build relationships within the agency and create conditions for a shared strategic direction for the Operations Area. You have the ability to communicate and anchor strategic decisions and messages in a way that is understandable and purposeful. The role requires attentive, engaged, and developmental leadership, with a focus on leading, coaching, and developing subordinate Unit Managers in line with IVO's mission and goals. Qualifications We are seeking someone with: An academic degree in an area the employer considers relevant, Several years of experience in management positions with responsibility for personnel, budget, and operations in this field. Experience with strategic work in data-driven work methods, digitalization, and IT in public sector operations, as well as experience with major change and improvement initiatives in this area. Experience leading and developing operations with clear quality and security requirements, Strong Swedish language skills, both verbal and written. It is meritorious if you have: Strong knowledge of the laws, regulations, and conditions governing public sector work in digitalization and IT. Experience leading other managers or team leaders, such as team leaders or project managers. Personal Qualities You have excellent collaboration skills and work with a clear holistic and developmental perspective. You thrive at the intersection of strategy and operational implementation and have the ability to translate overarching goals into concrete action plans and clear assignments. You are organized, solution-oriented, and skilled at prioritization. You have strong planning and coordination abilities and ensure that initiatives are carried out efficiently.
