We are now seeking an Employment Law Attorney who will be our principal representative in all matters concerning union negotiations and collective agreements. The role is a vital part of our HR team that works closely with operations. About the Role As an Employment Law Attorney at SJ Stockholmståg, you will have a key role in building trustworthy collaborations and long-term relationships both with operations and with our union partners. With us, collaboration and accountability are an integral part of daily work. You will be important support to the HR function and leaders, as well as being the operations' primary voice in dialogue with union representatives and our employer organization. In this role, you become an important enabler of our continued development. You contribute to creating structure and security during change, and ensure that labor law, collective agreements, and work environment are natural and integrated parts of operations. With an approach characterized by care, professionalism, and long-term thinking, you help build a stable foundation where both people and operations can develop together. Lead and develop negotiations with local union representatives at SJ Stockholmståg – with focus on dialogue, trust, and joint solutions. Be the contact toward the employer organization. Be responsible for the application and development of relevant collective agreements – with balance between operational goals and employee conditions. Participate in work environment efforts together with the Work Environment Specialist, HR Business Partners, managers, safety representatives, and union organizations – where safety, health, and sustainability are central. Be a qualified and secure support to HR staff and operational managers in employment law matters – from major transformation work to individual cases. Support and coach HR Business Partners and managers in negotiations, labor law, collective agreement interpretation, and complex individual cases – with focus on strengthening competence and independence. Build and maintain long-term relationships with union partners – where trust, respect, and collaboration help us succeed together. Monitor external developments and translate developments in Swedish labor law into practical and operations-focused approaches that create value over time. Expectations of You To succeed in this role, we believe you are a self-driven team player who is solution-oriented. You enjoy working operationally and close to the business. You have the ability to build relationships and are a skilled communicator in both speech and writing. We believe that you: Have a relevant legal degree Have substantial experience as an employment law attorney Have experience with shift-based operations under collective agreements Have experience with operations involving different employee groups Are confident managing complex operations, preferably with public ownership or regulated markets Want to contribute to one of Sweden's most important missions: getting more people to choose the train What Do You Get?
