We communicate research and knowledge relevant to special education. We are responsible for the agency's digitalization, service development, and new system solutions. We also handle the agency's internal and external communications. DUTIES About the Role As an Operations Controller in management support, you are a qualified advisor to management with overall responsibility for business management, planning, and follow-up within your business area. You are part of a cross-functional management support team where you collectively contribute with a holistic perspective, quality, and long-term development. Here you have the opportunity to work closely with operations, influence work methods, and help ensure that resources are used optimally to achieve established goals. You work both strategically and operatively with business planning, follow-up, and reporting. Using analysis and monitoring, you create clear documentation that makes it easier for management to make well-informed decisions. You identify patterns, pinpoint areas for improvement, and contribute to a proactive approach that strengthens operations over time—always based on the public sector's requirements for quality, legal certainty, and transparency. In this role, you work closely with the functions responsible for the agency's overall business management and standardization. You are also part of a network of Operations Controllers from other business areas where you collectively contribute to developing uniform work methods, routines, and processes. Together, you contribute to strong and cohesive management throughout the entire agency. Through your work, you help strengthen both the business area's and the agency's combined ability to achieve its strategic goals in a structured, efficient, and sustainable manner. Key Responsibilities • Provide advisory and qualified support to managers on matters related to business management and follow-up • Support the business area in planning, implementing, and monitoring operations and the agency's development portfolio • Develop analyses, reports, and decision-making documentation to support management decision-making • Drive and coordinate processes for business planning, goal formulation, and indicator monitoring • Contribute to the development and implementation of uniform methods and tools for business management • Ensure that the business area complies with the organization's guidelines and processes for follow-up and reporting • Participate in and, when necessary, lead change and development initiatives within management and follow-up • Work closely with the Finance Controller to ensure a clear link between budget, resources, and business objectives QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with: • Relevant academic education in statistics, public administration, or equivalent field • Experience in business management and follow-up • Strong analytical skills and experience working with data, analyses, and indicators • Good experience presenting results and analyses to management and other stakeholders • Experience developing processes and work methods within business management • Good IT proficiency and experience with relevant digital tools for analysis and reporting • Ability to express yourself well in spoken or sign language in Swedish and in writing Meritorious: • Experience from a state agency or other public sector organization • Experience related to the business area's mission Personal Qualities • You are analytical, structured, and solution-oriented • You are collaboration-focused and have the ability to build good relationships within and outside the organization • You are proactive and drive your work independently while contributing to broader shared goals • You have a strategic holistic perspective but can also handle details when needed • You are communicative and can explain complex issues in a pedagogical way Great weight is placed on personal suitability. Since your colleagues are geographically dispersed, collaboration and meetings take place digitally via Zoom, Teams, and Skype. This gives you great flexibility but also requires good organization, clear communication, and the ability to build relationships remotely. Employment Form: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent. A 6-month trial period applies. An extract from the criminal record must be presented upon employment.
