The Planning Department provides qualified support to university management on strategic matters and issues related to operations management and development. The department is organized into two units and consists of a total of 21 employees. This position is located in the Planning and Monitoring unit. We are now seeking an Operations Controller interested in working with analyses of education and research. Responsibilities As an Operations Controller, you will work with university-wide planning, monitoring, and analysis of operations. A central part of the assignment is to monitor goals within education and research, both in annually recurring reports and in in-depth analyses. The work may involve processing large volumes of data. You will also be responsible for coordinating work with the university's management information system. The role places high demands on understanding of operations and the ability to weigh together and prioritize between different user needs. The assignment includes developing work with international university rankings, which are of great importance for recruitment of both international students and staff. You also contribute to risk analysis work within internal control and governance frameworks and to investigations. Other work tasks may also occur. As an Operations Controller, you work independently and often present your matters to university management yourself. At the same time, collaboration is an important part of the role. You are part of a group responsible for the university's annual cycle for operational planning and monitoring, which includes work on the annual report. The group also serves as support to management by preparing matters and ensuring that decisions made are implemented in the organization. Work is conducted in close collaboration with the administrations within the scientific areas and other parts of the university administration. Qualifications At least three years of relevant higher education or other education and experience that the employer deems equivalent. Experience with operational monitoring and analysis. At least three years of professional experience deemed relevant to the position. Very good proficiency in working with IT systems, such as management information systems, and very good skills in Excel. Good ability to communicate orally and in writing in Swedish and English. Great weight will be placed on personal qualities. We are looking for someone who is analytical, organized, and has high integrity. Since many work tasks involve collaboration with different parts of the organization, it is important that you have good collaboration skills and enjoy creating and developing relationships. You are proactive, work independently, and drive your assignments forward while contributing to the development of the entire organization.
