We are now seeking an Operations Director who can create clarity, engagement, and shared direction – and together with the board and owner banks develop a business that strengthens the future of savings banks.
Leadership that creates directionHere you have the opportunity to lead and further develop a business built on trust, specialist expertise, and close collaboration with twelve independent savings banks. You will have significant influence over how our services develop, how the business is organized, and how together we create maximum value for our owners.
You report directly to the board and work in close dialogue with both the board and the banks' chief executives and other key personnel.
At the same time, you lead a team of nine experienced specialists with deep expertise in risk, compliance, and regulatory matters. The team members work independently, are located in several places in Western Sweden, and work largely remotely. This places high demands on leadership that creates presence even when you don't share a daily workspace.
Your most important task will be to create clarity, common working methods, and strong engagement. Through continuous monitoring, feedback, and present-focused leadership, you build a culture where collaboration, quality, and continuous improvements are a natural part of the work.
Your assignmentAs Operations Director, you have overall responsibility for Västsupport's operations. You translate the board's strategy into practical implementation, lead the business toward set goals, and ensure that our owner banks receive service characterized by quality, professionalism, and high integrity.
You are responsible for the operational plan, budget, and finances, develop processes and working methods, and ensure that the company has an efficient organization that meets future demands.
You also represent Västsupport in dialogue with owner banks, partners, and other stakeholders and actively contribute to the company's continued development.
We believe that you...
...have solid experience from the banking or financial sector and a good understanding of the regulatory environment in which financial operations function.
You have experience leading qualified operations where governance, quality, and long-term thinking are central. Perhaps you currently work within risk, compliance, internal governance, internal audit, or other operations with high demands for integrity and business acumen. A Swedsec license for management and control functions is a requirement. If you do not yet hold the license, you must be prepared to certify upon taking office.
You are accustomed to working closely with management groups and boards and feel comfortable creating structure, making decisions, and driving change. You have experience leading qualified specialists, preferably in a geographically dispersed organization, and know how to create engagement, accountability, and collaboration even when daily work is not characterized by shared office environments.
