Disability Care Services is organized into five geographic units. As Operations Manager, you have five unit managers working directly under you. The unit managers have overall responsibility for their respective areas of operation and lead these together with a total of 19 assistant unit managers. The assistant unit managers have a more operationally focused responsibility and lead and develop the daily operations. The organization also includes developers and methodological support who contribute with expertise and support in the continued development of operations. Disability Care Services encompasses a budget of approximately 500 million kronor and consists of just over 550 employees. It is a large and diverse operation with an important societal mission - to create good living conditions and provide support that makes a difference in people's daily lives. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As Operations Manager, you are responsible for leading, developing, and driving Disability Care Services forward. You have overall responsibility for operations, finances, and personnel, as well as for ensuring good and sustainable quality. The role also includes working long-term and strategically to create a safe, appropriate, and sustainable operation that meets future needs. You will lead through other managers, present and move naturally in various political forums, and collaborate with different actors, both internally and externally. As Operations Manager, you are part of the Care Administration's management group and report directly to the Administration Manager. Leadership in Borlänge Municipality is important in our effort to provide even better service to the residents of Borlänge. You do this with our values as a guiding star in daily work: • I am here for Borlänge residents • I embrace challenges • I meet every person with openness QUALIFICATIONS Basic requirements for the position: We are looking for someone with higher education of at least 180 credit points in social services and/or health and medical care. Alternatively, education in law, economics, or equivalent that the employer deems relevant for the position. We also see that you have experience leading other managers and management training. You are experienced in working with budgets and financial management and have documented experience and training in economics and work environment matters. It is also a requirement that you have experience working in a larger politically governed organization and that you have several years of experience working in care and welfare services. You have excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and a B-level driver's license is required to be able to move between different operations. Personal qualities: We are looking for a leader who combines sharpness with patience, who is confident in navigating and working long-term with complex matters, and who has the ability to create stability and progress even in movement. Through good judgment, clear priorities, and the courage to make decisions, you lead the operation, and you are comfortable with uncertainty potentially driving the operation forward. You are confident leading through change and steering change and development initiatives where you see the whole picture and prioritize based on overarching strategies. In your leadership, you build trusting relationships and create engagement by showing genuine interest and listening to the organization's needs. You lead through other managers and have the ability to help both employees and teams grow and develop. Your communication skills are one of your strengths, where you are clear and communicate in a simple and open manner.
