Where you will work Enebacken is a nursing home in the scenic Smedby area in Åkersberga, with proximity to meadows and forests. The operation has a total of 108 beds and includes short-term and respite care, day activities, and care for people with somatic diseases and dementia. About the role As operations manager, you have overall responsibility for staff, finances, occupancy and sales, as well as quality. You lead the operation toward set goals and ensure safe care, a sustainable work environment, and good results. An important part of your assignment is to project manage and implement change and improvement initiatives. You create structure, set a clear direction, and translate ideas and decisions into practical action. By involving your team members, following up on the work, and staying committed over time, you create changes that become anchored and lasting. You have ongoing contact with residents, customers, relatives, municipalities, authorities, and other key stakeholders. You have our support functions within finance, care and quality, marketing and communications, business development, and HR to assist you. You report to the Regional Manager and are an active and contributing member of the region's management team. Your ability to create, develop, and maintain good relationships with residents, customers, staff, relatives, municipalities, and commissioners is central to success in this role. As Operations Manager, you should have the following qualifications and experience The operation is subject to licensing and requires that you have a relevant university education as you will be registered with IVO for the operation. To be considered for the position, you will need to be approved by IVO. We are looking for: University and/or college education, e.g. registered nurse, social worker, behavioral scientist, or equivalent. Management training and more than 2 years of documented experience successfully leading employees and teams within elderly care. Current experience working with social services legislation. Financial knowledge and understanding of budget responsibility with associated follow-up work. Good knowledge and experience of working with and reporting in various support systems, such as journal, planning, and payroll systems. If you move forward in the process, we will request certificates of the above education. Before we offer employment, you must provide an extract from the Swedish Police Authority's criminal record register. We also require a valid Swedish work permit, for example a passport or approved work permit from the Swedish Migration Agency. Merits We work with continuous development and improvement in our daily work and see that practical experience with change work will facilitate your work with us. Since we work and collaborate closely with our labor unions, it is good if you have previous experience developing union relations. In addition to the above, your day-to-day work may be facilitated if you have a driver's license (category B).
