The Operations and Maintenance Division is responsible for planning, ordering, implementation, and follow-up of operations and maintenance. In collaboration with other divisions, administrations, and companies, the division contributes to long-term planning, implementation, and follow-up of the city's operations and maintenance. The division consists of five operational areas with associated units.
The Infrastructure and Function operational area has a shared mission to carry out infrastructure projects, workshop operations, and operations and maintenance. The operations perform corrective maintenance on, for example, parking lots, squares, and sidewalks; provide on-call and emergency response for traffic incidents and acute traffic obstacles; participate in traffic control for events; operate traffic devices such as road signs and street name signs; perform metalworking and workshop operations; manage stone and sign storage; operate and manage bridges; and regulate internal waterways.
Work Responsibilities
As Operations Manager, you are responsible for leading, developing, and following up on the Infrastructure and Function operations. You have overall responsibility for operations, budget, employees, and work environment, and ensure that the operations contribute to the organization's strategic goals.
In this role, you lead through your subordinate managers and create conditions for sustainable and trust-based leadership. You collaborate closely with other operations, administrations, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure that the city's infrastructure and functions are managed and developed efficiently.
Further, you will
Lead and develop based on political decisions, goals, and mandates
Have overall responsibility for operations, budget, personnel, and work environment
Ensure efficient planning, implementation, and follow-up of the operations' deliverables
Drive change and development initiatives with a focus on quality, innovation, and sustainability
Develop collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
Take responsibility for strategic workforce planning and the organization's long-term development
Represent the operations in management groups, networks, and collaboration forums
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has
Relevant academic education or other education and work experience that the employer considers equivalent
Several years of documented experience in management and leadership at a strategic level
Experience leading managers and larger operations
Experience with budget, operations, and personnel responsibility
Good knowledge of governance and management within public operations or other complex organizations
Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish
Experience within infrastructure operations, maintenance, operations, or technical management
B-class driver's license
Meritorious
Experience working in a politically governed organization
Experience in change management and operations development
Knowledge in sustainable urban development, asset management, or community building
