We are now seeking an Operations Manager for Rheumatology, a field in constant development! About the Position As operations manager, you have responsibility for operations, finances, and personnel, and work toward a long-term sustainable and good work environment. You lead, coordinate, and monitor production and development in line with the operational plan and established goals. Key areas of focus will be driving clinically based research and ongoing innovation and development projects in a positive direction. You also need to invest effort and commitment in close leadership and ensure continued good coordination and collaboration between units, professions, and partners. As operations manager, you represent the unit in various regional, national, and international collaborations. You are part of the department's management team and actively contribute to the department's and hospital's development and results. You will have support from the area manager, peer managers, and qualified staff functions in HR, finance, production, and operations development. This position is a fixed-term management appointment for five years with a permanent employment contract in your base profession. About Us The Rheumatology Operations Area at Sahlgrenska University Hospital (SU) is the regional clinic and main center for highly specialized rheumatology in Västra Götaland. The clinic has approximately 170 employees, including approximately 55 physicians. Patient volume includes approximately 7,500 patients, and we receive 3,000 new referrals annually. The inpatient section consists of a care ward and a large inflammatory center (IC) comprising treatment, assessment, research, and trial units. Inpatient care handles patients with severe, often life-threatening, inflammatory rheumatic systemic diseases. Outpatient services, located at both Sahlgrenska and Mölndal, include clinics, team-based services, day rehabilitation, and more. About You We are looking for someone with a university or college degree in an area that the employer considers relevant for the position, as well as experience in healthcare. You have management and/or leadership experience, and we are pleased if you have also completed leadership training and have an interest in leading through others. If you also have an academic background or experience in research and development work, that is a merit. As a person, you are confident and stable in your leadership and inspire trust even during times of change. You are clear and communicative, with the ability to create engagement and get people to work toward common goals. You have a strong focus on development, see opportunities, drive improvements, and dare to prioritize.
