Operations Director, Primary School

The primary school in Lindesberg Municipality shares a common overarching goal – increased achievement of educational targets. We are seeking someone who is passionate about school development and wants to lead a group of principals with great drive and high competence. In Lindesberg Municipality, we have more than 2,500 students from preschool through grade 9. There are eight primary schools in the municipality that are geographically dispersed across several locations, ranging from the larger schools in central Lindesberg to the smaller schools in rural areas. Within the primary school, there are nine principals and nine assistant principals. Student welfare services are organized centrally. RESPONSIBILITIES As Operations Director, you have overall responsibility for the primary school's operations, personnel, and finances. You work based on political objectives and lead, follow up on, and develop primary school operations. Together with the principal group, you develop organization, culture, and work methods and translate political objectives into a clear direction that creates structure, quality, and results. You are responsible for ensuring systematic quality work and support the principals in their assignments through close and clear leadership. The assignment also involves collaborating with other departments, external actors, and trade unions, and representing the department in overarching matters related to the primary school's continued development. It is a role where you both lead in daily operations and drive long-term development. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking someone with several years of experience leading other managers within educational operations. Experience within primary school and completed principal training are considered advantageous. We believe that you who are applying for this position are a confident leader who, together with the principal group, wants to drive primary school operations from a holistic perspective. As a person, you are structured, development-oriented, and strategic, with the ability to drive operations based on set objectives. To succeed in the role, you need good ability to collaborate and create participation in the organization, which leads to relationships of trust. You have good communication skills and can make well-founded decisions even in situations where the path is not always clear. Experience with management systems such as IST, Stratsys, Personec, and Raindance is advantageous. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Employment form: Permanent employment.
