We are now seeking an Operations Manager for primary school and adapted primary school with an important mission to shape and develop the school of the future and create the best possible conditions for equitable, high-quality education. Here you will have a central role with the opportunity to influence and develop the municipality's schools – together with engaged principals. The operations encompass 17 primary schools and adapted primary school, with a total of approximately 3,550 students. The organization currently has approximately 17 principals and one assistant operations manager. Your workplace is centrally located at the Learning Administration in the municipal building Guldsmeden in Hudiksvall. Here you will also find the administration management, administrative support, and central student welfare services. You report to the Director of Administration and are part of the administration's management group. Responsibilities As Operations Manager, you have overall responsibility for primary school and adapted primary school. You lead and coordinate operations at an overarching level and create favorable conditions for principals to lead and develop their respective schools. With student success as your starting point, you work toward high goal achievement, equity, and quality across all operations. You have a strategic and unifying role with responsibility for implementing political goals and decisions in the operations and meeting both today's needs and future challenges. Your role includes: • Personnel responsibility for principals and the assistant operations manager • Leading, supporting, and following up on the work of principals and the assistant operations manager • Responsibility for operations, finances, personnel, and work environment on a coordinated and overarching level • Leading and coordinating comprehensive quality and development work for primary school and adapted primary school • Responsibility for overall planning and resource allocation between school units as well as follow-up based on goals, budget, and applicable governing documents • Ensuring the operations' competency supply based on current and future needs • Driving development and change initiatives • Contributing to the administration's joint and strategic work • Representing the operations in the learning committee and preparing decision-making materials Your Profile We are seeking a confident and clear leader who builds trust, empowers others, and helps them grow. You leverage others' expertise and create engagement around shared goals. You have the ability to see the whole picture and work strategically and long-term. You handle complex issues, make clear prioritizations, and make well-founded decisions. At the same time, you create participation and drive development together with others. We are seeking someone who has: Relevant pedagogical higher education and completed principal training Several years of management experience in schools with responsibility for operations, personnel, and finances Experience with operations management and systematic quality work Good knowledge of school governance, school law, and relevant laws and regulations Good digital skills and experience working in relevant operational systems Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written B-level driver's license It is a merit if you have: Experience from an overarching operations role in schools Experience working in a politically governed organization Additional relevant education in, for example, leadership, organization, economics, school law, or strategic operations development We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
