We offer a meaningful assignment where you have the opportunity to contribute to safe, sustainable, and high-quality elderly care for the municipality's residents. We welcome your application!
Job Responsibilities
You will have an important position where you represent the interests of elderly care in the Social Services Administration's management team and have the opportunity to influence, develop, and create favorable conditions for the operations, its managers, and employees. You will represent the units in the social committee. You will be an important ambassador for elderly care and a central link between strategic decisions and operational activities. Together with the unit managers of elderly care, you will work to ensure the quality, legal security, and long-term development of the operations. As Operations Manager, you will report directly to the Social Services Director and will be part of the Social Services Administration's management team. You will work with a focus on quality, legal security, good working environment, and long-term economic sustainability, while providing support to the operations' managers in complex issues and challenges.
The assignment includes, among other things:
Lead, support, and develop the unit managers of elderly care and create favorable conditions for their working environment and continued development.
Ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with current legislation, political goals, and established quality standards.

Represent the operations in political contexts and provide materials to the committee and boards.
Ensure good collaboration between elderly care, other operations within the Social Services Administration, and other administrations and external actors.
Contribute to the Social Services Administration's strategic development as a member of the management team.

For this position, you must have:
Relevant university degree in, for example, social work, care and health services, health and medical care, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
Several years of experience in management or leadership positions.
Experience with budget responsibility and financial management.
Experience working in elderly care, care and health services, or related operational areas.
Good knowledge of relevant legislation, particularly the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Health and Medical Care Act (HSL).
Driver's license (Class B).
It is beneficial if you:
Have experience working in municipal operations.
Have experience from a similar operations manager role.

Personal Qualities
To succeed in this role, you are a confident, clear, and development-oriented leader who creates engagement, participation, and trust in the organization. You work based on trust and create conditions for others to succeed and develop. You are communicative and relationship-building and contribute to a unpretentious climate that promotes good cooperation and an open and well-functioning flow of information between employees, managers, and leadership.
