Calle Flygare is a renowned theater school and part of Medborgarskolan Stockholmsregionen. Here, performing arts, learning, and personal development come together in an organization open to children, young people, and adults interested in theater and acting.
Would you like to lead and develop Calle Flygare's course programs with high ambitions and a strong focus on quality and participant experience? We are now seeking an operations manager who wants to take full responsibility for the operations and drive active, long-term development work.
WHAT WE OFFER
With us, you'll have the opportunity to influence the direction of one of Sweden's most well-known theater schools. In this role, you'll help develop a course offering that reaches children, young people, and adults, building on Calle Flygare's strong tradition in performing arts, courage, and authentic expression.
You'll have significant autonomy, close contact with operations, and the opportunity to turn ideas into practice. As part of Medborgarskolan Region Stockholm, you'll also have access to a larger network, collegial support, and collective development with other organizations including Påhlmans Handelsinstitut, Kulturama, and Stockholms Tillskärarakademi.
ABOUT THE ROLE
In this position, you're responsible for the overall Calle Flygare course operations and report to the Operations Manager for Calle Flygare. You lead the planning, staffing, implementation, follow-up, and continued development of courses, based on participant needs, market demand, and Calle Flygare's profile.
You ensure that operations run smoothly day-to-day, that participants receive professional and welcoming service, and that courses maintain high quality from initial contact through completion. You monitor results, take initiative for improvements, and translate ideas into effective practices and measures.
You have managerial responsibility for course program staff and create clear guidelines, good planning, and functional routines. This includes recruitment, staffing planning, absence management, and ongoing support for coordinators, teachers, assistants, and reception staff.
The role also includes financial responsibility for course operations and close collaboration with the rest of the organization on marketing, communications, customer relations, and development initiatives. This makes the position both operational and development-focused, with many contact points and clear accountability for results.
QUALIFICATIONS
We're looking for someone with experience in theater, performing arts, culture, or course programs, and a solid understanding of how to develop relevant, high-quality course offerings for different target groups. You have an eye for content, pedagogical quality, and participant experience, and can translate that understanding into courses that strengthen Calle Flygare's profile.
You have good industry knowledge in performing arts, theater, acting, culture, or related fields, and the ability to identify trends, needs, and opportunities that can advance the organization. You're experienced working closely with teachers, educators, cultural practitioners, or other subject matter experts, and creating good conditions for both content and delivery.
Beyond subject and industry knowledge, you're confident leading, coordinating, and following up work with others. You have good business acumen and experience working with budgets, calculations, and financial monitoring.
As a person, you're organized, communicative, and action-oriented. It's an advantage if you have experience in marketing, project management, or working in a mission-driven organization.
