Business Analyst - Capacity Planning

Unit Mission The Business Operations area VO In contributes to the Swedish Public Employment Service's goal of shorter time to employment and reduced incorrect payments. Within the National Assessment and Planning department, the Business Support unit and the Staffing and Business Analysis sections are responsible for resource planning, scheduling, and business analysis within the mediation activities' remote meetings for VO Initial Support and VO Coordinated Support. The assignment includes capacity planning, forecasting, optimized scheduling, and monitoring of operational goals and results. Staffing and Business Analysis Section - Mission and Responsibility Our overarching and long-term assignment is to manage the resource planning process, capacity plan, and forecasting. We deliver optimized schedules, daily management and monitoring of service levels to take any necessary actions, and provide important production support for operations. We analyze and monitor operational goals and results in continuous learning and improvement work. Job Description As a qualified analyst in forecasting and business analysis, you are responsible for developing and improving forecasts for customer meetings across different channels and time horizons. You work with retrieving and analyzing statistics from multiple systems, conducting impact analyses, and producing reports that support both operational activities and strategic decision-making within the organization. The role also involves representing the section in contexts where data and analysis are discussed. To succeed, you need a structured working approach, strong ability to prioritize and lead analysis assignments toward goals, and enjoy collaboration and continuous learning in a changing environment. Main Responsibilities (may vary based on emerging operational needs): Develop forecasts for customer meetings across different channels and time perspectives Retrieve and analyze statistics from multiple operational systems Create standard reports for operational and strategic decision-making Conduct analyses, simulations, and impact assessments related to staffing and resource planning Present data and analyses to managers, leadership groups, and other stakeholders Maintain ongoing dialogue with colleagues about results, development areas, and improvements in planning and analysis work What We Offer This is a permanent full-time position beginning with a six-month probationary period. The position is geographically unrestricted, but you need to be located near one of the Swedish Public Employment Service's offices in the country. Basic Requirements for the Position Higher education in political science, organization, or equivalent experience that the employer deems comparable Experience interpreting data, identifying connections in complex flows, and translating analysis into practical decisions in daily planning Advanced and many years of system knowledge in Excel, Power Point, WFM Calabrio, Telia ACE, Click Sense, and ACE BI or other tools used in the support process Documented good knowledge of/in organization, coordination, analyses, monitoring, and operational management acquired through experience or education Very strong ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Additional Merits for the Position Experience from customer meeting processes and having worked in Workforce Management processes, such as WFM planner or with Real Time management. 2+ years as a WFM analyst or in a business analyst role Experience with the employment service's work processes for understanding the operations.
