MINISTRY OF DEFENCE announces an open competition for a civil servant position Senior Specialist, Conscription Planning Division State Defence Service Department We invite you to join our team to work together on the development and improvement of mandatory service in Latvia and to ensure that the state defence service is a cornerstone of Latvia's defence capabilities. The State Defence Service Department manages all selection stages for the state defence service, plans conscription in close cooperation with the National Armed Forces, and works on public awareness about the service and its forms. Main job duties: ensure the organization of state defence service conscription; collect, analyze information and statistical data for improving the state defence service conscription system and service operations; participate in the development of informational materials for public awareness about essential matters of the state defence service and participate in information events for conscripts, as well as ensure communication with the public; develop, maintain, and update report databases; analyze opportunities for improving legal acts related to the state defence service and, if necessary, direct projects for internal and external legal act amendments.
