Key job responsibilities:
develop draft regulatory acts and other documents in the field of strategic goods circulation, industry resilience and supply security, and represent Latvia's position at the international level on these matters;
ensure the holding of meetings of the Ministry of Defence licensing commission and coordinate the issuance of licenses and military manufacturer certificates;
promote the involvement of Latvia's defence industry companies in state defence provision, coordinate the resolution of defence industry resilience and supply security issues;
prepare and update information about defence industry companies, assessing financial indicators and risks.
Your task is to ensure a business-oriented and unified contact point for consultative and informational support, improve the regulatory environment, simplify and alleviate the administrative burden on entrepreneurs in implementing military production projects, and promote the implementation of risk assessment-based monitoring in the defence industry.

Requirements for candidates:
conformity with the requirements of Article 9 of the "State Secrets" Law;
conformity with the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law;
academic or second-level professional higher education, preferably in finance, economics, or law and political science;
experience in preparing documents and official correspondence, preferably experience in preparing draft regulatory acts;
preferred experience in cooperation with companies, local or foreign institutions;
preferred experience in analyzing company financial data;
very good English language skills (knowledge will be tested through a test);
ability to compile and analyze information, preferably advanced knowledge of working with data processing programs;
excellent communication and collaboration skills;
interest and knowledge in the field of state defence, NAF capabilities and tasks;
good analytical and planning abilities, ability to coordinate work, accuracy in completing work tasks.
To perform the duties of this position, the civil servant must independently use a national electronic identification solution, i.e., eSignature eID.
The employee holding this position is subject to Article 17, paragraph 1, item 23 of the "On Emergency Situations and State of Emergency" Law.
