No.: 90009099027) announces a competition for a Senior Expert position at the Kurzeme Regional Administration for an indefinite period (full-time) Requirements for candidates: Compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law; Higher academic or second-level professional higher education in environmental sciences, natural sciences, forest sciences, or legal sciences; Knowledge and practical experience working with legal acts regulating nature and environmental protection (work experience in state administration or municipal institutions and institutions working with nature or environmental protection regulations will be considered an advantage); Knowledge in species and habitat identification, including a valid expert certificate in the field of species and habitat protection; High sense of responsibility, ability to work with large volumes of information, ability to independently prepare decisions; Analytical thinking, good communication, argumentation, and cooperation skills, and ability to efficiently plan and organize one's work; Ability to work in a team; Good skills in working with office equipment and MS Office software; Category B driver's license; Desirable English language knowledge (for communication with foreign colleagues, participation in international seminars) Main duties of the position: Preparing draft permits, approvals, and opinions provided for in legal acts regulating nature conservation, evaluating the impact of planned activities on specially protected natural values; Preparing responses to submissions, administrative acts, and other documents in the field of nature conservation; Consulting the public on the requirements of legal acts regulating nature conservation; Participation in implementing nature conservation projects implemented by the administration.
