Position objective:
Within the framework of the ESF+ project "Creation of a Teacher Professional Support System" No. 4.2.2.3/1/24/I/001, to provide unified and strategically supervised support in general education at the state level, oversee the process of implementing regulatory acts, build cooperation with methodological centers of general education institutions, industry experts and associations, ensuring methodological support measures and consultations for general education teachers.
Main responsibilities:
Provide unified and strategically supervised professional support (in the respective subject area and aspect of educational implementation) in general and vocational education at the state level, utilizing existing professional support networks and coordinating the cooperation of involved parties, as well as strengthening the implementation practice of professional support in municipalities and cooperation with vocational education institutions in implementing general education curriculum;
Implement methodological support measures and consultations for education quality development for municipal subject area/subject coordinators and teachers within the framework of subject areas and subjects;
Plan and organize methodological support measures and consultations for education quality development for municipal methodological work coordinators and teachers within the framework of subject areas and subjects;
Conduct analysis of general education content development trends in the European Union and the world, analyze and compile information in various general education content areas;
Conduct evaluation of sample curricula for subject areas and plan their updating in preschool, general basic education, and general secondary education;
Conduct evaluation or adaptation of general education methodological support materials, including piloting, reviewing, publishing and maintenance, in accordance with provisions set in preschool education guidelines and state basic education and general secondary education standards, and organize professional development according to identified needs;
Coordinate and oversee the content of developed materials among subject areas and education levels and in teacher professional development;
Represent the project in curriculum development matters at state and municipal institutions, as well as in relations with natural and legal persons if related to project implementation issues;
Provide consultations to members of the public in your area of responsibility.
Requirements for candidates:
master's degree or higher education in the field/pedagogy;
at least 3 years of work experience in pedagogical work in an education institution;
at least 3 years of work experience in creating and developing curriculum and methodological materials;
work experience in management;
knowledge and skills in coordinating work groups, creating and developing curriculum and methodological materials;
cooperation and effective communication skills;
ability to argue and substantiate your opinion;
excellent knowledge of Latvian language;
ability to work with computers, use software and other information technologies.
The position is classified at Level III of family 39.1 (10th salary group).
