The State Employment Agency (hereinafter – the Agency)
announces a competition for a vacant civil servant position –
Senior Expert in the Employer Support Division of the Labor Market Department
(1 position for an indefinite period)
The purpose of the vacant position is to develop and maintain cooperation with nationally significant employers, employer organizations, and industry associations.
Requirements for candidates:
compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the Civil Service Law;
higher education (preferably in social sciences);
practical experience in corporate client service or personnel recruitment of at least 1 year;
understanding of state employment policy and knowledge of applicable laws and regulations in force in the Republic of Latvia;
knowledge of client service work organization and current methodologies;
knowledge of personnel recruitment processes;
excellent business communication and presentation skills;
foreign language knowledge – English language skills – good in writing and spoken form (for serving third-country clients);
experience working with computers (MS Word, Excel, and Power Point) and office equipment at a daily user level;
desired experience with graphic design software;
an e-signature tool is required for the performance of duties.
Main duties of the position will include:
representing the Agency in cooperation with employers, employer organizations, and industry associations;
developing and maintaining cooperation with nationally significant employers, providing support to employers in filling vacancies;
ensuring methodological guidance on vacancy registration and record-keeping compliance, as well as content supervision and improvement of the Agency's website, CV, and vacancy portal in accordance with job competencies;
presenting the Agency's goals and services within the scope of job competencies, creating presentations and visual materials.

The candidate evaluation commission will not evaluate applications that do not include the documents specified in the announcement. We will contact those candidates who are selected for the second round of personnel selection.
Selection will take place in three rounds:
First round – evaluation of candidates' education and work experience based on submitted documents.
Second round – practical assignment, based on the results of which the candidate's professional knowledge will be assessed.
Third round – interview, during which the candidate's knowledge and competencies will be assessed in accordance with the requirements set for the position.
Candidates who achieve the highest score on the practical assignment will be invited for an interview.
The Agency asks candidates applying for participation in the selection competition not to provide additional data, including special category personal data, that is not necessary to assess the candidate's suitability for the specific vacancy. If a candidate submits personal data that is not necessary within the scope of the selection process, it is considered that the candidate has consented to the processing of such personal data.
