Deputy Head of Methodological Support Division for Vocational Education Matters
(fixed-term position until August 31, 2029)

Work location in Riga, 3 Valņu Street.
Position objective:
To provide support in coordinating the division's work on vocational education matters related to managing state methodologists' work, analyzing teachers' professional development needs, planning and supervising teachers' professional development within Project No. 4.2.2.3/1/24/I/001 "Creation of a Teacher Professional Support System".
Main job responsibilities:
Coordinate internal administrative work to support the division head's work.
Plan and coordinate unified professional support across all subject areas and aspects of educational delivery in vocational education at the national level.
Plan and coordinate methodological support, teachers' professional competence development activities, methodological support measures and consultations for improving educational quality for vocational education institution teachers.
Coordinate the development of teachers' professional development programs, including leading professional development work, communication and partnership activities, and analyzing teachers' professional development needs, involving professional associations, sector expert councils, vocational education competence centers, based on student performance analysis data.
Requirements for candidates:
Academic or professional higher education in pedagogy or educational sciences.
At least 3 years of work experience in organizing and managing teachers' professional development.
Experience in attracting cooperation partners.
Experience in educational institution management work (preferably in a vocational education institution).
Knowledge of vocational education content and its regulatory framework, implementation of the learning process in educational institutions, and ability to apply it.
The position is classified at Level IV of Family 36 (salary group 10).
