Description:

Oplana is a recruitment and consulting firm with deep roots in industry. We work with talent supply to technically advanced operations and combine recruitment, consultant staffing, training, and trainee programs to meet industry's growing need for qualified expertise. Our strength lies in the fact that we come from the industry ourselves. Many in our team have backgrounds as production managers, electronics assemblers, test technicians, project managers, and trainers in electronics manufacturing. This means we truly understand our customers' operations – from production and technology to the competencies required for operations to function. Oplana has built a unique position in Swedish high-tech industry over many years and is today Sweden's leading competence partner to the defense industry within our segment. Through our industry knowledge, training initiatives, and extensive network of technical expertise, we help some of Sweden's most advanced industrial companies secure the right competence – both today and for the future. We work closely with our customers and offer solutions in recruitment, consulting services, and competence development. Whether the need concerns a single specialist, an entire team, or long-term talent supply, our goal is always the same: to deliver solutions that work in practice. Based in Stockholm with strong anchoring in Swedish industrial expertise, Oplana is a long-term partner for companies in defense, electronics, telecom, and technology-intensive operations. CEO of Oplana Oplana is seeking a present and commercially minded CEO who wants to take overall responsibility for the business and lead the company through its next development phase. The role is both strategic and operational and involves overall responsibility for finance, sales, personnel, and business development. The CEO is expected to be close to both employees and customers, with a clear focus on nurturing existing relationships while developing new business, customer segments, and geographic markets. An important part of the assignment is to create structure and direction for continued profitable growth. This includes developing the training business, increasing capacity, broadening the offering, and driving digitalization of internal processes and ways of working. We are seeking a confident, business-oriented, and committed leader who thrives in an entrepreneurial company where you both work long-term and are prepared to be operational on a daily basis. The role may suit you if you currently hold broad management responsibility and see this as a natural next step in your career. The important thing is that you have the ability to create structure, build relationships, and bring the organization along in continued development. Responsibilities and Tasks • Lead and develop the business based on the company's goals and strategy • Take responsibility for results, budget, forecast, and financial monitoring • Hold overall responsibility for personnel and work environment • Lead, coach, and develop the organization's employees • Be active in sales, customer meetings, and business development • Nurture and develop relationships with existing key customers • Identify new customers, segments, and geographic markets • Develop Oplana's training business and increase instructor capacity • Ensure the company can meet increased volumes and customer inquiries • Drive digitalization and development of systems, processes, and monitoring • Report business results and development to the board Experience and Knowledge To succeed in the role, you have a background from industry, preferably within electronics, and experience from a management position with responsibility for operations, personnel, and finances. For example, you may have worked as a business area manager, department manager, sales manager, production manager, or in a leading role within supply chain or procurement. It is important that you have a commercial perspective and experience in developing customer relationships and business. Experience from the electronics industry, defense industry, or other technically advanced manufacturing is a merit. It is also positive to have understanding of the quality and security requirements as well as longer decision-making processes that exist within the defense industry. You do not need to have worked as a CEO before, but should have sufficient experience and maturity to take full operational, personnel, and financial responsibility for the company, including budget, results, forecast, monitoring, and reporting to the board. Personal Competencies You are a present, engaged, and unpretentious leader who thrives close to both operations and customers. You have clear commercial drive and the ability to see new business opportunities, while at the same time having patience and understanding that relationships and business within industry can take time to develop. Your leadership is coaching and attentive. You make use of the competence that exists in the organization but are at the same time clear about goals, priorities, and direction. You are decisive, structured, and confident in monitoring the business based on finances and relevant key figures. To thrive in the role, you need to appreciate an entrepreneurial environment where you switch between strategic questions and close operational engagement. You are future-oriented and see the opportunities in developing Oplana's offering, finding new digital ways of working, and developing the company's market presence. Your Opportunities at Oplana Oplana offers an opportunity to take broad overall responsibility in a profitable and well-positioned company with strong customer relationships and great development potential.
