Växa's Knowledge & Development department strives for very high expertise in the most important subject areas related to dairy and beef production. We play an important role by monitoring research results and making them accessible to Swedish agricultural enterprises in the form of services and tools. We also carry out assignments and investigations for authorities, food companies, and other actors in the food chain. Our development department also conducts its own projects, both in collaboration with researchers and more applied at the farm level. Our work contributes to the development of Swedish agriculture by providing a varied and innovative range of services that increase profitability and productivity, promote good animal health, and reduce carbon footprint.

Växa's Knowledge & Development department is now strengthening the Sustainability & Feed team and is seeking an expert with expertise in the feed area, preferably with a special interest in forage. Our new expert will strengthen the team and support colleagues in several of our ongoing projects, where we assist various companies and organizations in the agricultural and food industry. Through this role, you will have a key responsibility in ensuring our future competence level and contributing to meeting the increased demand for specialized expertise in the feed area. Our new expert will work together with existing colleagues to create conditions for profitable and sustainable agriculture.
In your role as Expert in Feed at Växa you will, among other things:
- Initiate, lead, and participate in projects, primarily within the feed area
- Collaborate with and carry out assignments for industrial customers, universities, authorities, and industry organizations
- Monitor and compile knowledge and research within various feed-related areas, such as forage strategy, feed evaluation, feeding, ruminant nutrition, agricultural preparedness, and climate impact
- Conduct market surveillance and competitive analysis
- Support our advisors and other colleagues on matters within your area of expertise
- Communicate tailored knowledge internally and externally through various media
- Together with other departments, develop our range of services and tools
Since this is a newly established position, you will have great opportunities to shape the role based on your knowledge and working style.
To be a good fit for the role we want you to:
- Hold an academic degree in a relevant field; for example, agronomist or equivalent
- Have at least 3 years of professional experience in a relevant area
- Have knowledge of feed, feed evaluation, and feeding of ruminants, with a focus on the importance of forage strategy
- Be fluent in Swedish and English at a good level in both speech and writing
It is further meritorious if you:
- Have knowledge of climate impact from dairy and beef production
- Have knowledge of how feed affects milk composition
- Have knowledge of forage production and other crop cultivation
- Have previous professional experience working as an advisor or equivalent
- Have experience with practical work on a farm with dairy or beef production
- Have research education in a relevant area

Scope and Location
