Description Västerhedsskolan is a three-parallel F-3 school located in Högsbohöjd, close to natural areas such as Torpaängen and Ruddalen. At the school, we actively work with PALS, which is an important part of our values-based education. The after-school program is divided by grade level and operates in its own facilities on the school grounds. We are now seeking an engaged and creative after-school teacher who is passionate about creating a safe and stimulating environment for our students. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to children's development and learning through varied and inspiring activities. Our goal is to promote a holistic view of learning, where we see each child as a unique individual with their own needs and interests. Job Responsibilities We are looking for someone who, together with competent and driven colleagues, wants to create the very best conditions for our students to reach as far as possible. With us, you will be offered varied work where you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating instruction. In the role, you will work on driving after-school program development. Together with your colleagues, you will shape a good, enjoyable, and varied school day with the students' best interests in focus. The work involves collaboration with other teachers, student services, school leadership, guardians, and other actors outside the school. Your responsibilities also include: being a stable and trustworthy adult point of contact for students, where you meet their feelings and needs with care and understanding. promoting cooperation among students so they are given the opportunity to practice social skills through group activities and joint projects. having a holistic view of students' activities to ensure a balanced and stimulating after-school program. contributing to good collaboration between school and after-school services Qualifications We are seeking someone who is trained and licensed as an after-school teacher for grades 1-3. It is highly meritorious if you have the qualification to teach a subject. It is also meritorious if you have previous experience in the teaching profession. You are responsible and have the ability to meet both students and parents with warmth and respect.
