Regional Cancer Center Central Sweden About Regional Cancer Center Central Sweden The Regional Cancer Center (RCC) works toward more knowledge-based, equitable, and patient-centered cancer care in accordance with the National Cancer Strategy (https://cancercentrum.se/download/18.535757fe19bf64d2b4cb978/1769526112548/nationell-cancerstrategi-2.0_tillg.pdf). RCC Central Sweden has a healthcare regional mandate within the Healthcare Region Central Sweden (https://www.xn--sjukvrdsregionmellan-0zb.se/) and is organizationally placed at Academic Hospital with Region Uppsala as the host region. We collaborate closely with healthcare operations, patients, relatives, and authorities to develop cancer care throughout the entire care chain, from prevention and early detection to treatment, rehabilitation, and palliative care. The work is conducted both at the healthcare regional and national levels in close collaboration with Sweden's five other RCCs. RCC supports the development of national care programs, is responsible for quality monitoring through the cancer register and quality registers, and supports development projects within cancer care. We also manage INCA, the national IT platform for quality and cancer registers. Approximately 60 employees work with us. Our working language is Swedish, and we are located in central Uppsala Science Park where we work in modern office facilities. Your Assignment As a care process coordinator, you play an important role in developing cancer care within the healthcare region. You work closely with healthcare regional process leaders, care process groups, and networks to drive and coordinate development initiatives within prioritized areas. The work is conducted in close collaboration with healthcare professions, patients, and other stakeholders at the local, healthcare regional, and national levels. Through data analysis, coordination of activities, and support for development work, you contribute to improving quality, outcomes, and equity in cancer care. In the role, you will, among other things: • coordinate and support healthcare regional care process groups, networks, and working groups • plan, coordinate, and follow up on development initiatives and projects • contribute to the development of working methods, approaches, and processes within cancer care • have good knowledge of registration in the cancer register and quality registers as well as analysis of data from quality registers and other relevant data sources • monitor developments within the diagnostic areas included in the assignment • collaborate with relevant stakeholders at the local, healthcare regional, and national levels Your Qualifications We are seeking you who have: • a degree from a college or university in healthcare, nursing science, public health, natural sciences, or another area relevant to the role • very good ability to express yourself in Swedish both spoken and written, and good ability to communicate in English in both speech and writing • good digital skills and experience working in Office programs It is a merit if you have experience with: • business development, improvement work, or process development within healthcare • work in cancer care or with patients who have or have had cancer • project management, coordination, or facilitation of working and development groups • analysis and monitoring of quality register data • work in healthcare regional or national collaboration structures Your Competence To succeed in the role, you need to be structured, proactive, and have the ability to drive work forward independently. You have an analytical approach to work, see the big picture, and can translate data and knowledge into concrete improvement suggestions.
